Mission & Vision Statements

Pastoral Ministry Team
Vision:
To serve all the ministries of Shiloh by supporting them, encouraging them, and facilitating their work of ministering to the body.
Scripture:
Philippians 2:3-4 – Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.  Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.

Video Media Ministry
Vision:
To make it possible for people who cannot attend our church or their home church to have a connections to worship services; they will see familiar faces each week and feel they are a part of a congregation
To give opportunity to church members, and others who receive our DVD's, to distribute and/or use the videos as a tool for evangelism, personal or group bible study and worship.
Scripture:
2 Tim 2:2 - And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men , who shall be able to teach others also.

Media Ministry
Vision:
To provide an enhanced worship and ministry experience for the church through excellence in sound reproduction and visual communication
Scripture:
Col 3:17 - And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

Sign Language Ministry
Vision:
To reach out to the local deaf community, and allow the deaf community to "hear" the word of God.
To add depth to the worship experience.
Scripture:
1 Cor 9:20-22 - ...That I may become all things to all people in order that they be saved.

Food Ministry
Vision:
To help those who are struggling in these hard times to provide nourishment for their families.
All blessing being given in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, "The BREAD of Life".
Scripture:
1 Cor 13:13 - And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Deacon Body
Vision:
Provide and administer an effective functioning church organizational structure in concert with the pastor and congregation toward the realization of our church vision
Assure an inviting physical place of worship, teaching and fellowship
Recognize and respond to benevolent and other needs of individual persons in our church family
Scripture:
Proverbs 19:21 - Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails.

Movie Ministry
Vision:
To provide a wholesome movie experience for our families to enjoy together.
 To take opportunity to share with our friends and neighbors, quality entertainment that honors the Lord
Great fellowship and some really good food at affordable pricing (FREE).
Scripture:
Titus 2:12 - Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world.

Worship Ministry
Vision:
To help others have a worshipful experience, celebrating Jesus Christ.
To bring songs and hymns together with scripture in relation to the music, that exalts the Lord, lifts the spirit, convicts of sin, soothes the soul, and sets the captive free
Scripture:
Col 3:16 - 17 - Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish each other with all wisdom, and as you sing Psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, with gratitude in your hearts toward God.  And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of Jesus, giving thanks to God through Him.

Contemporary Praise Band
Vision:
To provide a fresh, dynamic praise and worship that leads the congregation in connecting with and worshipping God through music, while exposing non-believers to a style of music that presents the Good News.
Scripture:
Psalm 95:1-4 - Sing to the Lord a new song; Sing to the Lord, all the earth.  Sing to the Lord, bless His name; Proclaim good tidings of His salvation from day to day.  Tell of His glory among the nations, His wonderful deeds among all the peoples.  For great is the LORD and greatly to be praised.

Sunday School Ministry
Vision:
To allow God to work through us, without prejudice or judgment, to inspire students to hear, learn and apply God's word to their lives and to grow spiritually in their relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Scripture:
Isaiah 2:3b - He will teach us His ways, so that we may walk in His paths.

Fall Fest
Vision:
The primary  purpose of Fall Fest is to meet neighbors and bring them into the church. God tells us to be witness to our neighbors first.

Scripture:
Acts 1:8b
And you will be my witness in Jerusalem, and in Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth.

Vacation Bible School
Vision:
To introduce children to Christ. To teach them that He loves them and wants to save them and be Lord of their lives. To let them know that as children, they are so very important to God.

Scripture:
Matthew 19:14- Jesus said. "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.

John 3:16- For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son that whoever believes in him, shall not perish but  have eternal life.

Missions
Vision:
My purpose is to inform and involve you, the numbers of Shiloh, to prayerfully and financially uphold the missionaries God has led us to support.
Scripture:
Acts 1:8- But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you; and ye shall be witness unto me both in Jerusalem, and in Judea and Samaria and to the uttermost part of the earth.

Children's Choir
Vision:
To allow the children of this body to sing praise and give thanks to their Savior through voice and drama.
To give them the opportunity to realize and recognize that God has a purpose and a perfect plan for each of their lives and this plan involves the use of their talents for His glory.
Scripture:
Psalm 57: 7 & 9 - My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed:  I will sing and give praise.  I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people; I will sing unto thee among the nations.

Kitchen Ministry
Vision:
Procurement of all kitchen and cleaning supplies
Setup and serving food for maximum enjoyment and fellowship at dinner-on-the-grounds and other church fellowship functions.
Scripture:
1 Peter 4:10 - Serve one another with the particular gifts God has given each of you

Financial Peace Ministry
Vision:
God calls us to be good stewards of what he has given us. The classes on financial peace are the starting point of an attitude charge, a paradigm shift, if you will, in the way we view our resources. To be financially free allows the body of Christ to be free to serve and give as the Lord leads.
Scripture:
Matthew 6:21 - For where your treasure is there your heart will be also.
Proverbs 21:20 - The wise store up choice food and olive oil, but fools gulp theirs down.

Women's Ministry
Vision:
The vision of the women's ministry is that each woman that comes to Shiloh will grow in her relationship with Christ so much that she knows who she is because of that relationship, that she discovers her special calling given to her by God, and that she freely uses those gifts to further God's kingdom, along with her sisters in Christ--rejoicing with them because of their position and gifts given to them by Christ.

Traditional Service
Vision:
Celebrating Jesus Christ by bringing songs and hymns together with scripture in relation to music that exalts the Lord, lifts the Sprit, convicts of sin, sooths the soul, and sets the captive free.
Scripture:
Col. 3:16-17 - Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.
