Teaching Ministry

Shiloh has many teachers and ministers on staff to teach the Word of God to our congregation. We recommend you visit both the traditional and contemporary services to find out what style of ministry suits you best. If you prefer a more modern method of teaching, the contemporary service is for you! If a down-to-earth traditional style tickles your fancy, then come in at 10:45 a.m. Sundays to our traditional service. We would love to have you!

Adult Sunday School

We have two adult sunday school classes, one led by Tom Huffman and another led by Peter Hoeft and Nathan Rosson. Tom is going through an Old Testament study called "Old Testament Survey." Tom's class is more of an instructional session, while Peter and Nathan's class is more of a conversational time. All of them are great teachers with different teaching styles.

Youth Sunday School

We have three youth sunday school classes, depending on age levels. Grades K-3 are with Mrs. Phyllis Floyd. Our pre-teen class is for grades 4-6 and is taught by Laura Zipoy, along with Kevin and Lynn Margason. Our teen's class is primarily taught by Billy Thelen or Brad Zipoy, and covers grades 7+.

Nursery

Nursery is provided during worship services.

Children's Church

Children’s church is held during the traditional (2nd) service. The children begin in the main sanctuary with the adults and stay through the worship and praise & prayer. Then, they are dismissed into the old sanctuary where they are taught the “children’s version” of the Firm Foundations series the adults are studying. The kids have their own praise & prayer time followed by a scripture reading by Rick Braly. While the message is being given, Carrie Braly illustrates parts of the story, so kids can learn both audibly and visually. There is often interaction between Rick and the kids when questions come up and the kids need further explanation to gain understanding. Children’s church is open to all children ages kindergarten and above. Parents and adults are welcome to visit anytime.
