Welcome to First Shiloh Baptist Church
Shiloh, Williamson Co., TX
Welcome to First Shiloh Baptist Church. Organized in 1854, Shiloh Baptist has always been a home for the Shiloh community to come together and worship our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As our family continues to grow, we are able to introduce more individuals to Christ. That being said, our primary mission is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and how he affects each and every one of our lives.
Two Services Every Sunday
Shiloh offers two primary services each Sunday. The contemporary service is held at 8:30 a.m. each Sunday, and the traditional service is held at 10:45 a.m. each Sunday. The contemporary service offers a wide variety of modern-day music (like songs you typically would hear on Christian radio stations). There are no hymnal books in this service because all the lyrics appear on our two projector screens. Music is performed weekly by the Heaven’s Heirs praise band consisting of lead, secondary, and bass guitars, percussion instruments, synthesizer/keyboard, mandolin, and a growing vocal group.
In the traditional service, hymns are led by the Music Director, Ray Dennis. Accompanying him is our highly talented pianist, Carol Laurence. Guitar players are Cliff Floyd, Sam Dowdy, and Robert Stowe.
Shiloh offers many styles and formats of teaching as well. Our contemporary service teachers are:
- Ray Dennis, Associate Pastor
- Bill Thelen, Teacher
- Peter Hoeft, Teacher
- Brad Zipoy, Teacher & Licensed Minister
The traditional service is led by Pastor J.L. Edwards.
